Art Amatoria was launched by Caroline Hay at the beginning of 2009 to showcase emerging and established contemporary artists. They are based in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town where they regularly put on exhibitions of new and affordable art. They will also be putting on a series of exhibitions in other venues throughout Edinburgh and the U.K. Please see our Exhibitions page for details.
The name Art Amatoria roughly translates as 'The Love of Art' and is taken from Ovid’s Ars Amatoria (The Art of Love')
The artist is working towards a Solo Exhibition with the Ivo Bouwman Gallery, 80 Jan van Nassaustraat, 2596 BW, The Hague. The private opening is on Saturday, 27th October, 5.50 pm - 9.30 pm and Sunday, October 28th from 11 am till 6 pm. This exhibition continues until November, 10th, 2012.
Member of Chelsea Arts Club since 1994. Now a Country Member.
Had exhibition at Chelsea Arts Club by invitation of the Council in 1996.

Invited to hang work as an Encouraged Artist for second year running in the Annual Exhibition of the Royal Society of British Artists 2007.

The Mall Galleries are situated on the Mall, London SW1 and is home to the Federation of British Artists and the venue for the annual exhibitions of the societies that belong to this group.
Participated in the Royal Society of British Artists Show hosted by the Cross Gate Gallery both in Lexington, Kentucky and Charlottsville, Virginia, U.S.A. September and October, 2006.
